There's a difference between increased incidence and an "if-then" scenario. Bout all intelligent or educated people are depressed or suicidal.

But what this doesn't show you is all the times where wild predictions like this failed. Even a monkey throwing at a dartboard is bound to get lucky eventually.

I think in most cases it's not an issue of complexity, it's an issue of empathy. An issue of not quite being willing or even able to really see things from the other person's perspective.
Because, let's be honest... usually if you walk away thinking this, your opponent is probably thinking the exact same thing.
