If you're acting like people don't matter, and that violence is the only way of solving a problem, people aren't going to care about you, and they're going to think you're a careless, heartless savage. On the other hand, if you're kind, loving, caring, and accepting, people will likely treat you with the same respect.

Planting bamboo is a huge mistake. I spent two hours today stripping and chopping dead bamboo trunks for my elderly neighbor. He told me that the bamboo invading his yard blew there from a storm, and no matter what he does, it never dies and it never goes away. It spreads like the common cold and chokes the root systems of trees around it.
