we need feminism because it's ridiculous that boys "focus" is more important than a girl's education. Girls get sent home or sent to ISS all the time because they have shoulders showing or their pants are too tight or something similarly stupid because god forbid the boys get distracted by a shoulder.

I think they are trying to make the point that oftentimes that word is used in an abusive or hurtful context and even though you may not be using it that way, it can still be hard for someone to read if they have previously been hurt by it. I'm not taking sides either way, I'm just trying to clear up what I think they are saying
