Apart from saying God isn't real, (which is disrespecting beliefs, really) what did they do wrong? They just pointed out that kids will always grow up with their parents' beliefs. I'm a vegetarian. Naturally, I'm going to teach my kid to love animals as I do. I'm gay and a transsexual. I'm going to teach my kid the truth about gender and to accept everyone. I'm Christian. I'm going to teach my kid to believe in God. Any other parent would do the same. They teach their children what they believe.

Things are getting better. And kids will be made fun of for /everything/. I was made fun of for being too pale, for having glasses... I was picked on constantly, and that was before kids knew I'm gay. People are having better attitudes about it all the time. Soon enough, it won't be an issue, anymore. Plus, things can't change if nothing is done differently. : )

Picture them without hair. There's no way to say whether they're a guy or a girl, but you can at least tell they're a biological male. Either way, just saying they works better than saying "it". They're a person, not an object.

Even then. I know some people who are neither girls nor boys who feel like being called "it" is dehumanizing. They works just as well.
