The franchise you are looking for is Animorphs. Still can't believe that franchise hasn't been brought back. Diverse (mix of male and female characters, black girl, latino guy), an interracial couple, Marco is confirmed by one of the authors to be bisexual, and the character of Tobias is something of a trans parable. It was also massively popular back in the 90s.

I mean, it will hurt for a while, but the sting of some bugs can last at intensity for more than a day, with lingering pain/effects for weeks.

I'll give them a smaller tip than I would great service, but still a reasonable amount. Poor service gets a 15% tip, good service will get somewhere between 15-20, and great service will get something 20 or above.

There are, but for the most part it would only kill the very young or the very old, or if you have a bad allergic reaction to the venom. Most people would just be in serious pain for an extended period.

But, for real, I would gladly become a househusband if my SO made enough money to support our lifestyle. Sounds amazing. Having time to clean and organize, being able to have time to play games with no guilt for it taking away time with my SO, as they'd be at work... Glorious.

Actually, that's kinda the whole point. The hobbits are considered entirely unimportant to every other race and people in Middle-Earth, and thus are completely underestimated. Only Gandalf saw the potential in them. It's why everyone scoffs at the idea of Frodo taking the Ring to Mordor. But Gandalf understood that their lack of ambition outside of good food, good drink, good pipeweed, and a warm hearth made them remarkably resistant to the lure of the One Ring as a people.
