If you buy a FromSoftware game, you know what you are getting into. That type of game is not for everyone, and that's okay. The designer shouldn't have to compromise his vision just to make the game "approachable".

Nah. I think you are mixing up animes. Like, there's definitely blood in Cowboy Bebop, but the blood is pretty realistic, and it's never overally graphic.
