Last year, a good friend of mine asked me out. He looked so desperate I didn't have the heart to tell him I was a lesbian (he had been rejected painfully by the last like seven girls over the years). So I said yes. It got really uncomfortable, but he really liked me a lot, so (it was really shitty of me) we ended up dating for 5 months. (And we never talked, ever. I dunno why he kept me around. I still feel like shit about it.) At the end, he told me he liked someone else, and he dumped me. We're still friends, and he's still dating Cassandra. I'm glad it worked out so well, but my god were those months were filled with regret, uncomfortable situations, and me feeling like the worst human being ever.
