These Kids: How to you do taxes?
Public School: We tried to teach you simple math and you wouldn't try and couldn't figure it out. Now we're just giving you busy work until you graduate and are out of our hair.

There's a lot missing and everyone is assuming they're monsters. How do we know the family can afford to adopt 2 children long term? This family could be going through some serious financial hardship after fostering children and can't afford multiple children. How do we know the girl doesn't have special needs and there is a very low chance she'll get adopted otherwise? Don't just assume they're terrible people.

Now if they just chose 1 over the other, that's a dick move, but there is a lot left out here.
