Its likely that it came from a different brood as well. Pet stores often throw several different broods in for color variety.

I actually remember watching this scene from a documentary on national geographic. The zebra that got kicked was trying to protect his daughter from the other stallion trying to steal her, and after he got kicked he fell to the ground and the stallion took his daughter.

Actually, a lot of people I ride with will stop their horse and scoop up most of the poop or kick it off the trail (if it is walked frequently by people)

And many of the parasites that cause the swelling? Also cause malnutrition. Of course MANY other factors contribute to their malnutrition, but parasites are so prevalent and easy to contract that to say fluid build-up is the cause and not parasites is a fallacy.

It is very much parasites. Im not saying it isn't a lack of protein, it could be a combination, but I'll be damned if I didn't learn of more than a few parasites that cause inflammation of the digestive tract in all of my biology classes.

What's really sad is when you see pictures of the children and it looks like they have a full belly, it's really just parasites that cause swelling of organs. :/

For the general, yes, usually the lack of maturation in the cerebellum limits the fine motor skills, but theres always exceptions.
