I don't particularly like this new "trend" but more because of a medical standpoint. What happens if you cover yourself in a dark permanent ink? You'll never see any color changes to your skin/moles/freckles. What if one is cancerous but you can't tell because you decided black ink was the way to go? I have tattoos (quite a few actually) and I'm always careful about colors and placement for that reason. Cancer runs in my family and I am an advocate for a non-profit- please think about the other side of this before you follow the next trend.
