Well, more than three, that's for sure. But yes, French, Spanish, Italian (and I'm going to mention Portuguese here as well) do have many words in common, well, at least the spelling in some cases is similar, though the meaning might change. For example, I know there is a word in Italian that it's spelled "sera", but it means something different than "to be", in fact, it's not even a verb. I will also bet the few things I have that Romanian also has a word with similar spelling, since it is also a Neo-Latin language.

I got mine from the shelter too, he had been there ever since he was born, pretty much, and had been there for a while (for some reason no one had adopted him). After two or three day after I took him home, I gave him a bath. His fur is soooo soft because I give him a bath every two weeks.

If you give them nice, warm baths when they are kittens, they won't react violently when they get older.
