Is anyone at all concerned that he posted such an explicit photo of this woman, presumably without her knowledge and consent?

I had the very strict Catholic version that involved vague references to "God's blessing received in the sanctity of marriage" and then skipped right to the part where there was a baby. Learnt all the basics from reading the sex scenes in the cheesy spy thrillers my Dad read.

Fun fact about Chocolate- in the US, chocolate is largely marketed to and purchased by women ( think nice chocolate like Dove or Lindor). We have this assumption "wow- women love chocolate!" It turns out that this is particular to America. In most European markets, the demographics are split fairly evenly.

Seriously though, when I was a kid, we were always scared of the little dogs. They're just meaner. It's like they blame the world for making them small. Big dogs were always lovable goofballs. Yorkies- on the other hand- tiny fluffy balls of hatred.

I'd like to think that the media has a moral obligation- if not a legal or fiscal one- to attempt to report important events in an objective way. This is clearly not the model that news - especially American news- is currently following. In addition to the dangerous lack of education and awareness of current events that this results in we also get further cocooned in our own echo chambers as this model encourages media establishments to promote certain biases even when covering substantive news. As consumers- If something doesn't jive with our worldview we have the option to flip the channel and find something that does. If Fox News chose to report on a positive aspect of the Welfare program or Transgender rights or CNN decided that there was something good to say about Trump they would lose viewership. I have very strong political beliefs- but even I know that the increasing divide between right and left is dangerous to our ability to function as a society.

I don't have a tinder but I love that there seems to be a competition for who can create the strangest profile.

Shoutout to everyone opting for #6 Single by Choice! Relationships should be something we seek out if we want them- not something we feel obligated to do or something we require in order to be fulfilled as human beings.

Feminist claims to have been attacked by a group of men, caught out lying 30 comments
lehughes2442 · 7 years ago
Not to necessarily say that the girl's story is true- but why do we assume that the fact that her and the bar employee gave contradictory accounts means that she's the one distorting the truth? Agreed- seeking attention is a possible motive for her to lie but, as you pointed out yourself, the bar's business could suffer from confirming the story- meaning he has equal motive to downplay the events. I suspect that the truth is somewhere in the middle but really wouldn't pass judgement here until I got confirmation from the police or saw the footage (provided that it exists). I don't quite feel like you've done the legwork to really discount her claim or to portray it as representative of some sort of chronic misuse of feminism.

This "millennials killed x market" or "why aren't millennials buying x" crap drives me crazy. You can either have the American myth where everyone pulls themselves up by their bootstraps and those who gripe about affordable college or making a living wage are just lazy/morally deficient, or you can have young people who are able to buy luxury goods. Pick one and stop making the narrative about how our generation is ruining everything.

Right because People don't count unless they're educated and employed. Feel free to reduce them to sex objects- and ignore all other aspects of their personalities. And thanks- not only for your astounding charm and tact- but also for defining the standards by which we can categorize people and determine who is worthy of basic decency and respect.
