Awesome quote! So very true words. Well hey, I'd love to read up some more! I've taken Global Economics, Political Inquiry, and Economics 101 (total waste of time btw), at my university, and next quarter I'll be taking The Isms of Politics (referring to socialism, communism, globalism and capitalism if that makes sense), but I would love to enter that seminar based classroom next quarter with more knowledge! Hit me up with some articles or scholarly journals (peer reviewed preffered) of you get the chance!

Yessum I'm aware of that theory, but its simply my point of view that no matter the job, if you work full time you should not be struggling to eat. But perhaps that just comes from watching my father struggle and starve despite working 65 hours a week at a construction site. Being someone that watched the cycle that people go through when born in poverty, its my opinion that the system we have is broken. People say go to college so you can get a better job, but college is expensive, so people work minimum wage jobs that barely keep their head above water and use student loans and scholarships but are still starving, so they are thousands in debt but can't get a better paying job because there are no jobs nearby in their poverty stricken community but they have no money to move somewhere where there are jobs, so now we're back where we started, but thousands in debt. I'm saying that things should change, but like I said it's just my opinion :)

But nah man to be real I'm a democratic socialist that believes in the values of capitalism, but I want to kind of clean up the sharp edges that tend to cut others off. My views come from Michael Freedman and his work as an economist, especially after reading his book "Ideology and Political Theory". For example, a socialist view of mine is that the welfare of humans should be a societal objective, whether it be healthcare, education, hunger, mental health what have you. I believe that it is a societal responsibility to have that discourse in how to help others. I very much believe that we are only as strong as our weekest link. I also believe that all humans should be productive, and as a democratic socialist I believe that what you put into society you should receive back, no one that seeks their labour 40 hours a week should be living in poverty. But those are just my views personally :)
