I swear I read a stat that men face more sexual harassment than women. Or maybe it was domestic violence or something. Or I could be totally delusional, but either way, NOT acceptable for either gender to be harassed!!

There's a post on here somewhere where a bunch of dudes worse "slutty" dresses to school, because the dress code said GIRLS couldn't wear them. And the guys got away with it. So while it was clearly a joke, I do think guys get away with more.
At my old school, we had uniforms and designated "girl" pants and "boy" pants. I liked the guy pants cause they had pockets but we could get suspended if we wore them... it was so ridiculous

Yup, I actually live right by a dairy farm, the cows seem pretty happy and have lots of room to roam. Theres also a few for-meat cattle around, who are perfectly content, but they're just for feeding that family as far as I know. I think most local farmers really care about their animals and want the best for them

I think in a survival situation things would be totally different, I don't know how I'd react if I had no choice but to kill to live. I want to believe I'd stick with my morals, cause they've kept me sane, but I really don't know.
I don't object to people eating meat though, I just hate the idea of factory farming. If everyone raised/killed their own animals, or hunted for it, I think that'd be fair. But factory farming is nothing akin to "natural" and I refuse to support it. Maybe if I actually enjoyed the taste of meat I'd hunt or something, but the taste is gross to me either way lol

I'm not a vegan anymore, so I can't really comment on THIS, but I wouldn't eat meat to save my life as a vegetarian.
If I were actually in the situation, things might be different, but I don't imagine I'd use antivenom either if I knew it was causing harm to animals. I don't think my life is any more important than any one animal, let alone thousands.

That's true. I'm pretty unadventurous in my diet, so I just eat a lot of celery, carrots, and bananas :p I steer clear of the pricey exotic fruits and vegetables because I'm a terrible cook

But the area we use for corn crops would be used to grow other plants. Also, vegetarian diets are almost always cheaper than meat based diets. If you like meat, that's your choice and totally fine, but it's by no means impossible for the planet to survive without meat. It is widely recognized that it would be much better for the environment. But everyone can eat whatever they choose!

There are plenty of protein sources aside from nuts and tofu. I haven't eaten meat for 9 years and I actually eat more protein than is recommended (and I don't eat the fake meat junk). It's really really easy to fill up on protein, iron is usually the thing lacking in a vegetarian diet, but that's also easily fixed by eating green vegetables.

I agree with letting them roam, I'm not opposed to the idea of meat, but IF they went extinct, we'd just eat plants. 90% of North America's crops go towards feeding livestock, not humans. So we'd have all that extra food for us, plus the people starving in underdeveloped nations as well. It would honestly probably be a huge benefit to the planet if cows did go extinct, but that's kind of sad :(

It's a minute risk to yourself and others in your home country, at the benefit of savings thousands of lives
