Can I jump in and say I don't know how I feel about banning guns in general, but there should be stricter laws about ownership in place. Currently in a lot of places you just have to fill out a form, wait a couple weeks for the licence and then you can get the gun. But you should have to have your records checked, get a psych evaluation saying you are mentally stable enough not to buy a gun with the intent to harm other people and have to take a course about gun safety every couple of years or you lose the license.
