i agree, i thought it was a bit rushed and i didn't really understand the whole plot but the end regeneration with amy and when he took his bow tie off was so sad and perfect

They had the potential to stuff it with so many quality feels, but Steven Moffat just CAN'T WRITE. I don't know what happened. He used to be good. But Clara isn't a real character, she's a plot device. Same with the Papal Mainframe. And the ONLY thing even close to Christmasy about the episode was that the town was CALLED "Christmas."

I totally understand where you're coming from. With the old writer, you could turn on any episode, you'd understand everything and have a good laugh. Now, you have to have watched every episode to get the references it makes and it's just lost the quality humour.

It's lost quality EVERYTHING except special-effects budget. I didn't even care about the story any more with this episode; I just wanted Smith out. And it's not because I don't like Eleven (on the contrary, he's fantastic) but I was subconsciously hoping when Smith left, Moffat would too.

It wasn't as heart wrenching as tennants departure.

It still tugged at my heart

Well of course. But it wasn't as heart breaking as, "I don't want to go." Plus the actual regeneration was so fast you didn't have time to cry.

Yeah, when Tennant regenerated he regenerated slower, as if fighting Matt to keep his body, and Matt came screaming as if fighting David back and pulling through. Matt had seemed ready to go before, so he didn't put up much of a fight for Peter, so Peter came with no screaming and quickly.

“Look at me! No plan, no backup, no weapons worth a damn. Oh, and something else I don’t have: Anything to lose! So, if you’re sitting up there in your silly little spaceship with all your silly little guns and you’ve got any plans on taking the Pandorica tonight, just remember who’s standing in your way. Remember every black day I ever stopped you, and then, and then… do the smart thing; let somebody else try first.” Goodbye Matt Smith.

Nobody's seen SERIES 8, genius. And honestly, you think Pertwee's "hot"? Unless you're a 50-year-old woman (or gay man), that's kinky.
