..so thats how you spelling hiccough.. That doesn't make sense to me, a cough makes you exhale. hiccoughing makes you inhale.. GAHHH

I always thought that it was called hiccoughing because that's the sound you make when you do it. Maybe they decided to make it hiccough instead of hiccup because of the word cough. Or maybe 'hic' means like the opposite or something so it's like 'the opposite of cough'
