That doesn't sound like a good idea. That is a major topic of debate in America, giving money to people who sit on there ass all day.

Also doesnt take in the fact that Switzerland has like 1/40 the population of the US. As anybody thats ever done anything with other people, the more people, the harder it is to do, its just logistics. Its also like 250x smaller in land area, which means things like a postal service to get these welfare checks to the people have a lot less cost associated with them

Do not forget that the Swiss banks and government held BOTH the Nazi and Jewish valuables during the great second war. If you didn't come to collect the prize was kept by the Swiss government. The sixty years of interest is astronomical. The Swiss also export many finished foods to the rest of EU and US and have a substantial trade surplus. Their military budget is nil in comparison to any other EU state. Using Swiss economics as a barometer is akin to trying to climb Everest while still in primary school.
