Neither. Gays don't want pity, and most of all they don't want ignorance. The child doesn't really understand the situation, as indicated by his response. A better ending to the story would be that the parents corrected the child and explained the situation to him. No child wants to be lied to about the important stuff.

How is this lying? She honestly told him what being gay was. A parent does not need to "correct" him and say; "Oh son by the way being gay means fucking another man" because it is SO much more than that. OF COURSE he understood the situation because it was CLEARLY explained to him. Just because he is a child does not mean he won't understand certain things. It didn't even say how old he was! He could of been 9 or something, perfectly old enough to understand something like this

How? He obviously has no idea what he is talking about, which surely makes it just as bad as homophobic ignorance.

Ok listen up, being gay does not mean fucking another guy in the ass. This kid was trying to be nice about something that people can be pretty mean about, and your obviously one of those people, and I'm talking about the first guest, you are a fucking dick, oh wait I can't call you that because you don't have one. I know that not everyone supports this but you don't have to be a fucking asshole about it. Fuck you, and I'm sorry for being so rude, but this stuff pisses me off. What if you got death threats and were constantly made fun of for being straight? What if people were saying stuff like that about YOU on the internet?

Red, you clearly have a need to show some kind of dominance over this kind of issue just so that you can feel empowered. You probably beat your wife to show that kind of dominance to.

For all the people commenting saying this is wrong... Why would you ever tell a child that gay people fuck each other up the ass? Why would you ever tell a child that straight people fuck each other either? When explaining to a child how relationships work, you need to make it age appropriate. And why are you even concerned about what gay people do in the bedroom? You don't like it? Don't be a part of it, simple as that. Nobody is saying you have to be a part of homosexual sex. Why are people so disgusted with what they do in the bedroom? It's human nature, and it's a personal and intimate thing. I'm pretty disgusted by the fact that you feel a child should be told that homosexuals "fuck each other up the ass". That's just twisted, expecting anybody to do something like that. I'm also disgusted by the fact that you are obviously sitting behind your goddamn computer screen with your thumb up your ass, saying terrible things to other posters.

I don't know how to feel about this one

exactly. the child doesn't understand what it really means. So you can't say "Oh look how accepting and intelligent that child is, why can't adults be like that" because the child has no idea what they are really saying. If a parent was to explain that it actually meant fucking another guy in the ass then I'm sure the child would have a very different response. Also it is very likely that the child will feel differently when he grows up as he loses his innocence. Finally I'm sure the gay men would find the comment cute, but would be upset with the parents for not trying to explain the situation properly to the child.

You could the same about explaining heterosexual relatipnships. "They take their private parts and grind them together." Its all about how explain it. Heteros also do it in the ass fyi.

But that's not the point. What he is saying is that there needs to be some developmental time for a child to learn about these topics. So they can really understand, and not lead them to have a bias towards anyone's lifestyle choice in the future.

Exactly so therefore it was explained to him in age appropriate language. U don't just tell a child "they fuck in the ass"...or anything sexual one way or another. this was the child's honest innocent sentiment. a beautiful and tolerable one at that.
