Surely you have the media literacy skills to understand that entertainment media is meant to present a dramatised version of reality?
Comparing your real self to fictional characters is something mentally unwell people do.
(Note that empathising with them is not the same)
If you want to make a game that represents reality, sure, put all shapes, sizes and colours of people in it.
But don’t expect people to buy it based on that alone.
As a baseline, if people don’t want to cosplay your character, it’s a bad character, full stop.
