If you stop and think about it, we’re not really different in that regard. You look at styles and trends of the past and some maybe you think are cool and some you look at and even if you lived back then and even wore that style you’re like: “really..?” If you’re too young to relate- I guarantee that someday, something you think makes you look really cool is going to be largely seen as looking dumb.
But even if we get more abstract- it’s like, humans almost world wide throw some (possibly cut) cloth on our heads or bodies and walk around feeling cool about it. Toddlers draw on themselves with markers and think it looks cool or has meaning, then young adults laugh and go get tattoos they may end up later on looking at wondering what they were thinking or trying to justify it. People punch holes in their bodies and faces to dangle decorations from.
So I mean- next time you see someone in their new car with the wheels or their chromed out motorcycle or their lifted truck, next time..
.. you see someone looking confident and cool or seductive in some outfit, or next time you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and look approvingly at your outfit or body personalization… think of a dog with a curtain on its head.
