We are not descended from Neanderthals, they were our cousins. You knew that, right?

And apes are distant cousins as well. And they didn't know that, apparently. Same kind of informed inquiry as wondering how real earth warming can be when it's snowing outside.

We're holding out hope that Homo floresiensis is still around somewhere.

But that's where the monsters live. I can't just start rummaging around in there. That's their home.

Have you tried offering them a semla and coffee?

Of course, we have coffee every couple of days to catch up on each others lives and make the cleaning schedule. I suppose I could ask them if they've seen the Homo floresiensis.
