I've found that discord communities and the /b/ and /pol/ boards (that even 4chan as a whole dislikes) are run by bitter manchildren with their armies of underage boys that should know better

The _do_ know better than the sane part of the internet how to use the social media algorithms for maximum effect. Look how they've taken over IMDB and Urban Dictionary and how you see them grinding thru literally every other platform that allows people to express their opinion one way or the other. All this while constantly whining about how they're cancelled and how the liberal elites are dominating the public discourse. Endlessly repeating blatant lies, publically picking low hanging (well, mostly fallen) fruit and building strawman arguments is basically all they do and they're ahead. They've dumbed down the tactics of the Ben Shapiros and Jordan Petersons and look at how well this is working.
