I would generally agree, although if one searches the phrase “thoughts and prayers” there is quite a body of collected thoughts upon the uselessness of support and encouragement.

It is useless cause she shouldn’t have to bear the mental load of shopping by herself. At least see what’s on the list and go find it to help her
