I just don't get the fascination with anime and this desire to immerse oneself in it. I'm glad other people enjoy it, but to me it's so alien and unappealing I can find no way to relate.
I think that anime is a good form of fiction in the way that the characters don't have the defined features of an actor or actress, so it can be somehow easier to see them as we want to or simply get more easily dragged in the story. Additionally, the use of animation allows for some cool visual effects sometimes, and some are well thought out, with a compelling narrative and likable characters. Also, for a good while I was more drawn to anime than TV shows because of the color palette: generally speaking, I find anime more colorful and joyful.
(I love my life and I seldom watch anime now, but I would definitely take the red pill, and I'm curious as to whether or not they would keep their special powers in our universe)
