I failed to qualify (as she probably expected), but it brightened the moment and the day. If true equality between the sexes is ever reached, it seems unlikely to be in my lifetime.

Because of the presumption that men are romantic pursuers and women are the object of pursuit. I dislike this presumption. we should all get hugs and give them.
