I don’t work at this supermarket so why should I check my own groceries? In the receipt there’s a service charge so I’ll never use that machine

I prefer the self checkout since I really don't like interacting with strangers and I find most customers are slow and inefficient at the register.

I hate small talk, I like to take my time and not rush to get my payment/groceries out the door for the other person to feel the same. I use the self checkout isle instead of waiting in line behind stinky mean people. I hate people in the store. I have the power to making sure my items match the price listed. I also bag my items the way I want it done and not poorly placed just so the dude can finish quicker. I hate small talk.

Anon 1 is the type of person who intentionally leaves a mess at a restaurant because "they're paid to clean it up"

And then there's the third type of customer, the one that berates the cashiers that ARE there about how terrible self checkout is and how "they" are taking away jobs, as though the poor cashier making minimum wage has any input or control at all over it.

Depends on what I'm getting. I won't use it for groceries, but I'f buying like 3 things, it's just far quicker and is closer to the door. I plan my path before hand.

Some of us just want to get the fuck out of there and don't need to be served to do it.
