Ok, so let's step back and look at it:
30% of German highway kilometers already have a speed limit. The other 70% are either full with traffic jam and/or construction sites.
The result of this ballot doesn't reflect the will of the majority in Germany.
Despite all facts and hundreds of unneccesarily killed people every year, the car- and petrol lobby have achieved to lead the discussion in towards a "nobody will take my freedom"-scam.
To sum it up: Speed limits on Autobahn is the German equivalent of the US gun idiocy, with the difference that in Germany the blocking of a sensible speed limit is only coming from the corrupcy of politicians with no backup from the people.
