Nope they're just that fake.

Opinions abound- and there’s not really a true way to know unless you’re a personal confidant or something. That said- that wasn’t written by them. It was displayed on the TelePrompTer and I guess no one told them it’s a joke. They may have been so out of touch they took it at face value; or they may have simply read it off the promoter and not being told it was a joke just said it, and in the moment not processed the irony. It happens, we’ve all missed sarcasm or had a joke fly over our heads- especially if we are focused on something and not expecting humor.

Regardless- they more or less trade on being “reality stars” and “influencers” which are not generally fields associated with sincerity and candor unless it is a calculated and branded display or a rare moment of true vulnerability. Their public persona is largely as paid shills- read what you’re told, plug what needs plugged, etc. trust the material, producer, etc. to make you look good and just hit your marks. Irony is outside their brand.
