My brother use to call our parents by their first name and he would use a deep voice to say my mom’s name and higher pitched to say my dad’s cause he just mimicked the way they spoke
I remember when Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets came out my Dad took me to go see it at midnight release. They had people lining up to go in to the movie. We we're inside but still it was a long wait. I had to go to the bathroom pretty bad so I leave my Dad to stand in line.
I come back and see we only have a few minutes till we are going to go in. I remember we wanted pop corn so I call to my Dad who is like about 2 or 3 feet away. I say "DAD!" but he doesn't answer so I call him again and again but nothing. So I tell his name "ALLEN!" He looked around and sees me and the guy behind him says "My daughter does that as well" lol
.
Sometimes knowing your parents names is handy.
My daughter when she was 6 was with me in a store and wanted to go home already. I told her it be a bit longer. She stomped her tiny foot and said "MELODIE LETS GO HOME!" lol She looked so pissed it was very cute.
I have such a defining screech I shout "MOM" in, I've never had to use her first name. I can't remember a time I've ever had to shout out "dad". The closest I can think of is shouting back and forth about sprinklers from different sides of the house. It's strange, with my dad and his side of the family we always sit around and chat, but usually my dad and I are just adding little snide or sarcastic comments and exchanging glances while internally laughing our asses off at the rest of the fam.
