The thing that's kind of funny to think about is that people that don't like the Star Wars movies of the last two decades are actually just a very vocal minority. I'm not saying most people consider them superior to the original trilogy, but statistically speaking they've been well received.

I liked the Thor movies, I didn't think they were amazeballs or anything but I thought they were enjoyable, especially Ragnarok
