What bothers me is that you really dont need that much ram yet. It's a huge leap that contributes nothing at the moment and will also be worth nothing after a few more years because the hardware may become outdated. Dont even get me started on the the Monitor Stand

I imagine you could create a RAM disk and edit video without ever accessing a non-volatile disk. That's about the only thing I can think of that would warrant so much RAM.
