In B there is literally nothing to help provide shelter.
The knife can be used in place of the axe
Matches will definitely run out after a few weeks (so it's best to learn how to make fire yourself)
Water purifiers will really help in the first few weeks/days
Also the pot is irrelevant. You can easily construct one using the right pieces of stone.
The island has trees. Cut branches (which will be easier with an axe), and use leaves or fronds for insulation/waterproofing. Matches can be used for fire initially, and can be used with the pot to boil water (water treatment tablets may be faster, but will run out also). The paracord is really the only useful thing that is difficult to replace with loadout B, but if you're desperate you could use plant fibers or something.
A. Those water tablets are super important especially in the short game, and although the axe would be more useful than the knife, the crossbow and rope can make for some good crossbow fishing and the tarp is invaluable for shelter. A. is far superior in the short game and if you can survive that you'll be better off than going for B. and dying because you couldn't make an effective shelter in time.
Personally I would pick B
I know how to make:
Rope
a Tarp
Knifes
and I know how to Purify water with out tablets.
And a cross bow may seems cool to use but unless it takes handmade arrows than it is useless because arrows break and it looks like you will only get 1
Where matches help because though I know how to make fire I am bad at it I know how to keep it going and it looks like you get alot.
I can cook and/or purify water in the pot
The axe will help me trim young trees to make rope and can be a weapon.
The spear I can use for fishing or to hunt boar which some islands have.
The animal trap is really not that helpful because it may trap small animals but a drop trap is more effective.

I... uh... I was a... um yeah I was a girl scout and got so fascinated with the survival stuff I learned more of it on my own.
So yeah bring on the easiet and quietest year EVER lol
B
The reason is the matches. Fire is a big game changer in survival like this. I doubt a majority of us could start a fire with what we are giving in A. Also, you could make rope out of tree fibers or vines ( pretty common in tropical, warm/wet climates). And literally every tv show on survival shows how to make a basic shelter with what’s around you. The pot can boil water or you could catch rain water with it as well. The cross bow seems cool and all but will probably only get small game or birds. And you can remove the blade on the spear for a knife if you want.
B seems to be the logical choice in long term survival.
Death. Id pick death.
Despite of wanting to be cool with good survival skills, I simply don't.
A week? Maybe? A year? Nope, my fine ass feels like dying by only thinking of it.
Why would anyone try to survive on such an island without fishing gear. Firstly, how many edible animals will you find on such a small piece of land and secondly, do you know how hard it to conserve meat without a fridge?
Both the crossbow and the spear are useless, same for the trap.
I've been spear fishing before. And while the crossbow may not last, it'd be very useful while it lasts.
As for the trap, small game or fowl can be present, or it could be repurposed.
Yeah, spear fishing. There's also a nice little cove area on the left side, so at low tide that's probably easy to wade through and the water is pretty clear, would be good for catching crab.
Then those 3 rocks on the right side could make for a good "home base" for spear fishing, instead of swimming out from shore.
...might even be able to build another breaker in that cove so it turns into a decent fish trap during low tide. That'd be incredibly useful.
