Well- a Cobra anyway. They don’t have licensing so it could be a Shelby Cobra or an AC Cobra. Where the header exits the fender we only see a single pipe- so we can’t accurately determine the number of cylinders- it’s more likely that the single exit was a technical limitation- it could have been a conscious decision. Andnit could be a kit car or replica and not an actual factory produced Cobra. Although in fairness I seem to recall that in early version of the game they did call it a “Shelby Cobra..” but I might be remembering wrong.

It could in fact be an AC Ace with the original straight 6, the iconic Shelby Cobra would be a much more likely candidate as a model for inclusion in the game. The displacement of the motor can be debated as they came with engines ranging from 260 C.I. up to the more reknowned 427 big block.

True. And the side exit exhaust leaves the engine bay already collected into a single pipe- so we have no indication how many cylinders it has. But I would agree that it is more likely the developers were familiar with the Shelby Cobra and based the car off of that- it also makes sense given the in game stats of the vehicle as while the AC was itself a stories racing machine- a legend was born when a powerful V8 was paired to the light and nimble chassis.
