As a side note- simply having a cross shaped drive on the head doesn’t make it “Phillips head.” Even on earth there are numerous types of cross drive stews like... the cross. Which is actually meant to be used with a single flat tool. There is the frearson, posidrive, the French BNAE NFL22-070 or the Japanese JIS B standard. As bethorien says- there’s no reason to believe that the folks in Star Wars wouldnt have developed basic mechanical concepts or tools. We know they use bolts and rivets for example as we have seen these things or heard them mentioned or referenced.
