I can never remember people's names it has to do with my Dyslexia. It takes me talking to that person everyday to get it remembered. Well in high school I was a social butterfly so I talked to everyone and that's alot of names so I only remember a hand full of people. And usually only one per a class lol
So what does my teachers love to do. Well after we read we had to call out a random person by name and they read next.
OMGOD THE ANXIETY lol
Not only for maybe having to read a part out loud with a word I won't be able to say so I look like an idiot do to my dyslexia but my fear that the ONE person who's name I do know MIGHT get called before me. Lol
So whole time I am like DON'T CALL "NAME" DON'T CALL HIM/HER!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T CALL "NAME"!!! than comes to a part I know I will fuck up. WHOLELY SHIT DON'T CALL ME OR "NAME"!!!
lol
We never had it in order like that, it was randomized or popcorn'd. I'd always try my best to go first and get it out of the way so I could go back to sleep. I slept through my first 4 classes every year except senior year, when I had 1st and 2nd period off. My sophomore year I slept through my first 6 classes nearly everyday. 7th period was basketball, couldn't sleep through that.
Like many, we did the "popcorn" to each other. When it would be my turn I would intentionally mumble and skip 3 words at a time just to end the stupid activity. It always worked.
I was usually the only kid who read in class from primary to high school as example thank to my perfect, high standard capital accent so no, I don't get what you are saying.
But I guess that helped building my incredible confidence and how natural I perform in front of people.
So if you feel anxious or anything, just fuck it and do what you gotta do. Take it til you make it.
