The only reasons I can think of is maybe active volcanoes or a ton of unhealthy people have tried climbing it and either had a lot of medical issues due to the altitude or to many people didn’t make it but I could be wrong.

Its closed to the public because of it being very dangerous. Its nearly a mile long on a tiny damaged staircase with sections that are nearly vertical. Theres also some rope climb sections as well. Ive done this climb and it was super sketchy but the views were fantastic

it has poor maintenance and some parts are unstable with falling rocks. so it's been made illegal to go there due to the dangers, but as @mialinay says, no one cares

Just a few more steps and you will have reached the moon... Dont let those satellites hit you in the head tho... Someone should tell him that he can just jump up from there tho because there is no gravity at that height...
