Neat idea. Teachers, schools, and times may be different. The rules they used to have (when computer assignments on file became a thing and teachers started actually allowing it...) were that if you handed in a file- and for any reason that file didn’t work or the teacher couldn’t read it- it was treated as missing or if applicable you could turn it in again late. Back then there weren’t such standardized formats and software suites were largely incompatible as were files from different OS. You literally had to know what type of computer your teacher used, and which program and version, and make sure the file you handed in was compatible. In fact some teachers had rules like: electronic assignments were only accepted if done on a Mac... or the like. Early on they would t even let you hand out computer printed physical copies. So I don’t onow about now- but back when- this would have been an automatic fail.

@grandlobomalo- one of these days I’ll tell you about my first tape drive and it’s massive storage of hundreds of kilobytes.
