I'm going to have a pet anaconda one day. Not just because I think they are hilariously awesome and want to see how big I can grow one before either I die or it dies, but because their habitat is getting obliterated and large anacondas, the apex of that ecosystem, are being obliterated.
*I'm pretty sure with a big enough tank and enough water I can get one over 35 feet before whomever I'd inherit it towards dies. Snakes never stop growing.. and most large anacondas die during the dry season because they don't have a big enough water source to support their internal structure and they crush themselves... kinda like a beached whale.
