Is it actually offensive? I know it’s derogatory from the user but do Muslims actually take it as a serious insult? It’s pretty childish.

If you yell something at a person for long enough, they're gonna get pretty tired of it, no matter how childish it may be at first.

By that logic of overgeneralisation you could say ,all white people shoot up schools, or all Asians eat cats. Just because your biased media paints all Muslim's with a wide stroked brush doesn't mean you should believe anything they say on immediate face value. Because racism helps no one.Only an idiot would assume a whole from a part and only an idiot would believe the phallacys spread by most media nowadays.Without cross checking or attempting to understand the topic better.
