Ok, even though I'm sure you're able to google some info about recent polish politics, please follow link #1 and #3 if you google "poland politics 2018".

Poland has serious problems with racism, xenophobia and the according violence. Well, actually they don't have problems, as racism and xenophobia are widly accepted and supported in their society. They have ultra right chapters in their parliament and a far right government, that had to be elected by someone. The government just recently changed things to substitute all high court judges who where not in line with their nationalist path and so directly influenced the judiciary which ultimately means there is no separation of powers any longer. I could go on with this list but I hope to have triggered enough interest for further self-information.
eh. i mean, i love poland, it’s a huge part of me. my mom grew up there and moved to america at 18. but jeez, are they racist. my mom is so casually racist towards african americans all the time. it doesn’t make her a bad person, she’s actually very sweet. but she doesn’t even realize how mean she’s being because she grew up around all white people, she barely even saw tan skin until she was an adult.
