Just learned about this in my class the other week

but that is what science is, you set out to disprove something with an experiment and if you fail that is evidence in favor of the thing. Just like when Einstein debated with Bore in the 40s and 50s to try to disprove uncertainty but only cemented its place as the dominant theory in physics.
