How does a street sign have GPS tracking? Where would they put that thing, that requires a battery, GPS and cell phone reception, and how is that even going to prevent theft? And why RFID? So they can identify it once it's found?
depends on how its mounted. If its built correctly (hopefully it would be considering they already paid out the ass to replace it a bunch and now to get tracking for it) the trackers wouldnt be affected at all by that
that's not necessarily true. Even if they only had it stolen 2 times a year the cost of a gps tracker and usage of it plus the cost of an rfid tag (25 bucks or a bit more) is still less than the cost of replacing the sign after 5 years have post from the initial installation of the trackers
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
youd have 50 times as much paperwork and 100 times as much other bureaucratic bullshit to go through and you'd have to open committees to pick a new name and vote on the new name that they came up with which would probably get voted down the first few times so youd have to do it over again and that's all after publicizing the fact that the road was under vote to have its name changed which would have a large portion of people speaking against it and the long process of getting a name change authorized and then you'd have all the paper work of people having to change their address on all their documents or the documents for their businesses etc etc etc
