Essentially just take two pics, cut the part you want from one and paste it on the other. A lot of people have mentioned "stickers," so I assume there's an App that let's you do this feature and calls it stickers. If you look at the outline of the guy you can see color variations, as well as his arm and ear sticking out beneath the pasted picture
