Why hasn't someone invented a board like a tablet that can fold up and play multiple board games?

I imagine because cardboard is cheap and only a minority of people need to travel with that many board games. Be cool to build it into a table though. Then you just need a solution for pieces and cards.

pieces could be small tiles so you can play scrabble as well, or maybe they are just on the screen, and theres a panel that folds up for privacy

Honestly I can see a use for a tablet table. Like an entire laptop but a dinner table or table for the living room. One specifically for board games sounds stupid though... just download apps. Obviously the glass would have to be thick enough to not break, but yet also respond as a touch pad. Gonna need something a lot thicker so you don't shatter your table accidentally though.

That’s actually what Microsoft’s Surface OS was developed to do. If you have occasion to visit a MS office location they sometimes have full Surface tables in the lobby area. They are really cool but you realize how impractical they are almost immediately.

A “bag of holding” you could call it.
