Sure it looks pretty cool but also looks fragile and definitely wouldn't hold anything above a 20oz drink.

My wife had a mercury with one like that, it outlasted the head gasket. (170,000 miles)

Well, to be honest, despite being a bit of clever engineering, if my wife were getting out of the car with bags she'd probably snap it off just by the motion of what she'd carry.

I'd rather just have a basic cup holder although my truck has holders in the front doors that can fit the 1.25 liter bottles of soda which I really enjoy.
