Get the pose right if it's gonna look good -girl on the left should've jumped backwards not forwards so her hair wouldn't've made it less believable

Maybe the blast want strong enough to fully push the human away. Hair is lighter than she is, therefore the hair would move away still at a faster rate than she would. At the tail end of the blast, a person will start to slow down. Centrifugal force takes effect.
