You have to have the gun on your shoulder because it recoils .Since she doesn't have it on her shoulder it will go into her eye...

It's not really the fact that she has the rifle butt not against her shoulder, it's the fact that she has her eye right up against the scope. The rifle can be set into the shoulder and it would still give her a black eye because of the fact that she has her eye right up against the scope.
