Obama did a lot to exacerbate racial tensions while he was president. Every reaction was based on how to best advance the lunatic left fringe. Nobody disputes that Black Lives Matter, but the whole movement's narrative was that we should only be concerned about Black lives. They went nuts when someone would say that All Lives Matter. How many times was there tension because a Black man was killed by police, many times a BLACK officer and many times while not surrendering or while trying to harm the officer? Obama used those situations politically rather than defuse the situation. He even invited that Muslim clock boy (who took a clock out of its case and brought it to school for the sole purpose of creating fear so they could ridicule people who alerted authorities about a possible bomb) to the White House.
Y'all who think Obama was a reconciler are living in a dream world.
Guest has a point. During his presidency, racial tensions got way too high, and Obama didn't do anything to reconcile both sides. He instead ignored what BLM was doing, then added fire to it.
After every national tragedy Obama would condemn the perpetrators and offer condolences for the victims and most importantly he would show respect to everyone don't you miss that? A president who acts presidential.
But his comment about the Muslim boy was a blatant agenda-driven lie. The boy just wanted to make a clock.
Obama had a similar effect on the radicals on the left as Trump now has on the radicals on the right. Neither of them support these radicalized groups, but their sole presence in the White House has made these groups think that the president's got their back because he's on the same side of the political spectrum. Can we blame Obama for BLM, Antifa, feminists and just SJWs in general? Only if we at the same time blame Trump for the Alt-right, the Neo Nazis, the KKK and so on. You can't have only one, you have to admit both or neither.
You wanna bet? I'm not the one doing the grouping, either, they're doing it to themselves, by their actions. Antifa is just as bad as the fascists they claim to be against, BLM is just a bunch of black supremacists masquerading as a civil rights group, using individual racism as evidence of institutional racism so they can attempt to make it illegal to fuckin' be white.
I'm just saying it's the same principle. If you want to blame Obama for this, you should also realize that the same thing is happening right now with Trump. If you focus on a problem when the opposing side does it but ignore it when your side does it, it's unprincipled and hypocritical.
Clock Boy did NOT "just want to make a clock." He and his parents made a device to,purposely appear to be a bomb so that they could cause alert people to report it and then tar them as racists. He "made a clock" by taking the case off a clock and putting the works, into a pencil case, so it clearly was NOT a science fair project or something like that. Now we have the fear that reporting anything will cause the person reporting to be tagged as a racist. It boggles the mind that someone would see this as innocent. And to invite him to the White House as if he's some kind of genius to make a clock out of a clock by removing the case? How stupid do you have to be?
You're necrobumping but I'm willing to continue the discussion.
He made the clock out of some wires he found in his parents' garage. Saying a teenage boy would make something like that just to appear like a terrorist is the crazy thing here, not believing he could make a clock. Also, I advise you cut it out with the ad hominems, you're just embarrassing yourself because it makes you seem like you can't lead a civil discussion without throwing personal insults all around.
You know what's funny, though? The boy got offered a scholarship in Qatar and moved there, because he didn't feel safe in the US. I repeat, he moved to a Middle Eastern country because he felt that in the US someone might randomly shoot him or his family. That's how fucked up the US is. And they dare lecture the rest of the world about terrorism.
@serosenpai Persecuting someone because of pronouns? Damn, that's some feminist level logic right there. Please tell me you meant it as a joke.
@princessmonstertru My guess is that he either didn't mind the pronouns because who cares honestly, or he couldn't write "their" because of Twitter's character limit.
How about y'all just sit tf down (not you @ewqua) and realize that it's referring to mankind as a whole, and not just males? Can we for once appreciate a good quote for what it's worth instead of trying to turn it into something sexist when it's not?

@ewqua that is some Kotaku level reach.
Anywho, the point is it was obvious.
Punchmunchkin, thats exactly the point I was hoping to get across. Political correctness is killing communication. People are so hell bent on being politically correct, or not offending people that few people actually attempt to understand whats being said or written. Being offended isnt something we should be trying to avoid. If we're offended and open minded, we'll probably about to learn something (and thats a good thing).

Almost as if he's only persecuting the alt right
