Like the other emoji movie post said, old people that don't understand the demographic they are trying to market to.
Quite frankly, it's more of a problem than you think because the people that make those decisions, the ones with the money, don't know the first damned thing about creativity and art.
The problem is that people outside of the movie's demographic are complaining about it. If you think it's dumb, then you aren't the demographic, so don't see it then you won't have to complain about it.
no... it's just a legit stupid movie. Reviewers have gone out of their way to say "ok this is for kids" and still wind up with the same conclusion: it's a superficial clusterfuck that has no right to be a movie.
